Separate sealed bids for The Village of Fredericktown Waterline Replacement – Phase 1, 2 E. Sandusky Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019, will be received by the office of Bruce Snell, Village Administrator, until 11:00 am, local time, on September 3, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All bids shall be sealed and plainly marked “SEALED BID FOR VILLAGE OF FREDERICKTOWN WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PHASE 1.”

Contractors will be required to purchase and download an electronic set of plans and bid documents via the KEM Web Site by visiting https://kemccartney.com/project-bids/. If you would prefer a hard copy be mailed, we will do so upon receipt of payment in the amount of $50.00 per set, along with your UPS or FedEx account number so that shipping charges can be applied to your account. Checks shall be made payable to K.E. McCartney & Associates and all documents become the property of the prospective bidder, with no portion of the payment being refunded. Engineer’s Estimate: $897,000.00

Project Description: Replacement of approximately 3,100 feet of existing 4-inch waterline with new 8-inch PVC waterline and associated service lines, gate valves and hydrants throughout various locations within the Village of Fredericktown, Ohio.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity which does not affect the competitive nature of the bidding process or to reject any or all bids.

Each bidder is required to furnish with its bid, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond Form shall be issued by a Surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.

Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Knox County and Village of Fredericktown, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division.
